My Client Focus:
Our work will consist of building a trusting relationship, developing skills and practices that help regulate the nervous system and bring calm into your day-to-day life. These might be therapeutic yoga poses, meditation, breathwork, polyvagal exercises, inner child work, art therapy, nature-based practices, or CBT strategies.
Together we might explore your life experiences so we can understand how they impact your thoughts and emotions, your relationships, and beliefs about yourself and your world. We may work on deconstructing unhealthy and toxic patterns and replace them with ones that support your True Self and the life you desire and deserve.
Playing an active role in therapy is vital to making progress and experiencing the positive effects of therapy. So is human-to-human connection. A good therapist-client match is essential.
While I don't believe labeling people is helpful, I understand that a diagnosis can often be helpful in explaining a condition or set of symptoms, and can make us feel validated and less alone. A diagnosis is also necessary for insurance billing and reimbursement.

Connecting with a tree

In the heart of Coupeville, located in Coupe's Village, is a cozy sanctuary where we can meet regularly or when we are not meeting outdoors. The space is private and set up with peace and comfort in mind. We can share a cup of tea, we might do some guided somatic practices, meditation, and even draw an oracle card! I have a very friendly therapy dog named Frida who loves some scritches and pets!

I also offer ecotherapy or "walk and talk" sessions at local parks, trails, and natural areas in Coupeville on Whidbey Island. We might walk a little, find a peaceful place to sit, or take moments to pause and take in our surroundings as we move along an easy trail. I have a handful of local trails I meet clients at in Coupeville that are easy and accessible and provide all the healing benefits of nature. We are so fortunate to have evergreen trees, saltwater, sand and abundant wildlife on this island. Let's take therapy outdoors and soak up the natural beauty and healing benefits of nature.

I meet with clients via telehealth which allows for greater flexibility with scheduling, location, and comfort. My clients enjoy the convenience of being able to meet with me from the privacy of their home, car, or on a walk. I strive to make telehealth meetings just as natural, engaging and authentic as in-person meetings. I encourage my clients to choose a space that is private, comfortable, and has good wifi/internet service. With advances in technology, there are numerous places to meet from! You choose what feels good to you.

My rate is $180 for a 50 minute session. Sessions longer than 50 minutes are pro-rated in 10-minute increments.
Accepted forms of payment include electronic transfer, HSA and credit card processing. Payment is due at the time of service.
I am in network with Premera BCBS, Lifewise, Regence BCBS, and most BCBS plans outside Washington State.
If you have a different insurance carrier, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits. Many insurance providers will reimburse you a percentage of costs once you have met your deductible. At your request, I can provide you with a monthly “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance provider. If your insurance provider covers any of the service costs, you will be reimbursed directly by your insurance company.
If you do not wish to you use your insurance for any reason, you have the right to pay out of pocket.
